TIPS TO INCREASE COMPUTER STORAGE SPACE WITHOUT LOSING ANY IMPORTANT DATA
First let us know what is Local drive or Local disk?
A local drive or local disk on a computer refers to a storage device that is physically connected to and installed within the computer itself. These drives are used to store various types of data, including the operating system, applications, files, and user data. Local drives are sometimes called "hard drives" or "hard disk drives" (HDDs) when they use spinning magnetic disks for storage, or "solid-state drives" (SSDs) when they use flash memory for storage.
Drive are denoted by different letters as you wish but most used preferred during partition is C: drive for primary storage where where operating system is installed and system file while the other extra drive contain what a user wishes to contain it can be named any letter such ( D: , E:, F: etc)

2. Type “temp” in the text box and clear the catch:
Temp means temporary files, Short for temporary, temp is
anything that lasts for a limited time and is not permanent. Temporary files,
also called tmp files, are created by Windows or programs on your computer to
hold data while a permanent file is being written or updated. The data will be
transferred to a permanent file when the task is complete, or when the program
is closed.
1. i. On your keyboard, press the Windows button + R keys at the same time.
2. ii. In the Open field,
type temp, then press ENTER. The temp folder
will open.

1. iii. Press the CTRL + A keys
at the same time to select all the .tmp items.

giv. Press the DELETE key, and then click Yes when the User Account Control window appear to confirm.

3.3.Type “%temp%” in the text box and clear the temp item.
hFrom this tip three follow the same step as above, open the run text box and type %temp% then place ok. After the temp item displayed delete them.

g4. Type "Cleanmgr" in the run text box
- On your keyboard, press the Windows button and R keys at the same time to open the Run window.
- Type cleanmgr, then press ENTER. The Disk Cleanup window should appear.
- Select the drive you want to clean if is C: or D: , then click OK.
- Check the boxes for the file types that you want to delete, and then click OK.
- For more space click the Clean up system files button to remove extra Windows files.
- In the message that appears, click Delete files.

5. Type "Prefetch" in the run text box;
In the
context of the Windows operating system, "prefetch" in the Run box
refers to the Prefetch feature and the associated Prefetch folder. The Prefetch
feature is designed to improve the startup time and performance of applications
by caching information about how they load and run. When you type
"prefetch" in the Run box and press Enter, you typically access the
Prefetch folder on your Windows computer.
i. open the run text box by pressing windows button and R then type prefech and press ok
ii. press continue as seen below.
